On the night of December 2, the Russian army launched an attack on Ukraine using kamikaze drones. A total of 110 "Shaheds" and unmanned aerial vehicles of unspecified type were deployed by the enemy.
This was reported by the Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The air defense was operational in 10 regions: Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk.
As of 8:30 AM, there is confirmation of 52 drones being shot down. An additional 50 UAVs were locally lost due to electronic warfare, 6 exited Ukraine's airspace, and one is currently engaged in combat operations.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that a "Shahed" attacked a residential building in Ternopil, resulting in casualties. Approximately 100 residents were evacuated from the damaged building.
