Enemy losses in January: over three divisions of personnel and 230 tanks.

The intensity of combat operations at the front remained high in the first month of 2025. In January, there were 5,087 recorded clashes. Enemy tactical aviation dropped over 2,400 guided aviation bombs on the positions of our defenders and frontline cities.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in January, the Russian army suffered significant irretrievable and sanitary losses of personnel – 48,240 military personnel. This is roughly the size of more than three motorized rifle divisions of the Russian army.

"Throughout the entire period of the large-scale invasion, only in December 2024 were there more losses – 48,670 military personnel," the report states.

It was noted that during January, Ukrainian soldiers struck 230 enemy tanks. Considering that there are 31 vehicles in a tank battalion, the enemy lost nearly 7 tank battalions in total, either destroyed or damaged.

In addition, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 573 enemy armored combat vehicles. This is approximately the number of armored vehicles from nearly three motorized rifle divisions.

According to the report, last month, 963 units of artillery systems of the Russian army were hit. There are 18 artillery installations in one artillery division of the occupiers.

"Thus, our soldiers destroyed 50 artillery divisions in the first month of the year," the Ministry of Defense concluded.
