In Kharkiv, as a result of a fire in a five-story residential building, one person has died, and nine others, including three children, have been injured.
This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to the State Emergency Service, yesterday, December 2, at 20:05, a domestic fire broke out in a five-story building on Petar Hryhorenko Avenue in the Slobidsky district of Kharkiv.
Emergency responders saved 9 people, including two children aged 7 and 11. Rescue operations were carried out using a fire truck ladder and articulated lifts.
One person was evacuated.
As a result of the fire, a 36-year-old man died, and 9 individuals were injured, including 3 children.
The fire originated in an apartment on the fourth floor, where the man perished.
The area affected by the fire was 50 square meters. It was extinguished by 22:55. A total of 23 rescuers and 8 units of special equipment from the State Emergency Service were involved in the firefighting efforts.
