Investigators in Kharkiv have reported suspicions against a man who sold a rented bus.
This was announced by the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as reported by "Dumka".
According to the police, a resident of the Kirovohrad region came to Kharkiv and entered into an oral agreement with the victim to rent a "Mercedes-Benz" minibus.
After drafting a receipt, the perpetrator committed to pay the vehicle's owner $300 each month for a year, with the option to buy it afterward. However, the offender breached the terms of the agreement and sold the vehicle.
The police have identified the offender, who turned out to be a 26-year-old resident of the Kirovohrad region with multiple previous convictions for property crimes.
Investigators have informed the suspect of charges related to the crime. He faces a potential prison sentence of up to eight years, along with a prohibition on holding certain positions or engaging in specific activities for up to three years.
