Investigators in Kharkiv are looking into the circumstances of an accident in the Saltivskyi district.
This was reported by the communication department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to the police, the driver of a Renault Kangoo struck a woman. The pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.
Preliminarily, police have determined that the victim was crossing the roadway at an unauthorized location.
In connection with this incident, investigators have opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 286 (violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by individuals managing vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
