Today, January 29, the Kharkiv region said goodbye to the fallen defender Alexander Feshchuk, who died in the war.

This was reported by the head of the Derhachi City Military Administration, Vyacheslav Zadorenko, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to Zadorenko, the man was born in Dubovka, where he graduated from the Tsupovskyi Lyceum. He later completed trolleybus driver courses and worked in that field. Before the start of the full-scale war, he was involved in the renovation of apartments and houses.

The man lived in his hometown from the onset of the Russian occupation until its liberation in the fall of 2022. In June 2024, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and became a soldier of the 115th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

The defender fought for Ukraine in various areas of the front and held the position of a rifleman-paramedic. However, on January 22, 2025, near the village of Kolodets in the Lyman direction, his life was cut short.

"Unfortunately, during another mission, the soldier was killed. He was an honest, kind, brave man and a loving father to his children. He was 49 years old," the statement reads.

The defender was buried at the Alley of Glory in the Semenivka Cemetery. He is survived by his daughters Svitlana and Anita, son Roman, and sisters Alena and Olga.
