According to the police, the traffic incident took place yesterday, February 23, around 5:50 AM in Balakliia near the central market. A 49-year-old driver of a Peugeot hit a 55-year-old woman who was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.
The driver showed signs of alcohol intoxication. The injured woman was hospitalized with multiple injuries.
An investigation has currently been initiated. The man has been declared a suspect in the commission of the crime.
